Approved telnet programs |
Jonathan |
To telnet, you need to use a telnet program that supports the "SSH" protocol. That's a secure protocol that encrypts your password before it is sent across the internet when you login. You can download PuTTY which supports SSH from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/.
Or, if you want a little better, but non-free version you can download SecureCRT from http://www.vandyke.com/download/.
Select "SSH1" as the protocol when you set up your account in either of these programs.
